The upscale supermarket chain Gelson’s Markets is collaborating with a nearby brewer once more to create a new summer beer that will be served straight from the tap at certain locations. The Gelson’s Juicy Pale Ale, made by Three Weavers, a brewery located in Inglewood, is now available for purchase at the chain’s Gelson’s Wine Bars.

“It has a slight hop because it’s a pale ale, but it’s really drinkable. “This might be a more approachable style of pale ale if someone stated that they didn’t like IPAs or pale ales,” said Jake Cheung, senior director of marketing for Gelson’s. He went on to say, “Their pale ale is definitely something that was a little unique.”
Only the chain’s wine bars, where patrons can sit and order wine and beers along with food from the bartender inside the store, will have the beer on tap through May.
Calabasas, Carlsbad, Century City, Dana Point, Hollywood, Irvine, Long Beach, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Mirage, Rancho Mission Viejo, Silver Lake, North Hollywood, Westlake Village, and West Los Angeles are among the cities where Gelson’s stores include wine bars.
With this new partnership, Gelson’s has enlisted a brewery to produce a beer for its establishments for the second time. It comes after the Gelson’s Summer Blond Ale collaboration with El Segundo Brewing Company last summer.
In order to create something inspired by the summer, the store chose Three Weavers, a brewery that has garnered multiple accolades, including gold medals in the World Beer Cup Awards, for its second partnership with a brewery.
